Cross Roads Athletic Celebrates 32 years

Rockland based Cross Roads Athletic Club (C.R.A.C) made it's 32nd annual trip to Golden Pond this year. The hazy hot and humid forecast was right on the money as anglers enjoyed mid summer like weather on one of the most pristine bodies of water in the United States, Squam Lake. Nearly 90 fathers sons uncles brothers and friends made the long trek north to spend some quality time in the great outdoors. New members Russ Jeff and Phil (below) had the time of their lives! The food is outstanding, the lake is gorgeous and you won't find a nicer bunch of guys anywhere said Russ the father of the two.

Rockland Legend Daniel Cronin made the trip for the fifth straight year. This is awesome just awesome says Cronin. "I love the green beans the most." Cronin is a member of the Turtle Cabin. The turtles who were nearly extinct only a few short years ago has emerged as the most up and coming group of C.R.A.C. Their custom shirts and Coozies combined with an enormous size and weight make them a force to be reckoned with among Cross Roaders.

Rookie of the year ! !
This years Rookie of the year goes to a Duck from Bellingham Mass. Mike making his first trip up won the fifty-fifty raffle Thursday night. He later went on to catch a dozen fish and bid 75.00 at the Saturday Night Auction for a plate of home made cookies which he quickly gave out to his fellow Ducks.
Rockland's TJ Murphy
Rockland native TJ Murphy made the his 22nd appearance at the C.R.A.C festivities. Murphy shown here was nearly ten minutes late for the Friday night prime rib. After an attempt to explain his tardiness it was determined that he in fact became lost on Parrot Bay and was not responsible for being late. He consumed his King Cut of Prime Rib in a matter of moments then retired to his cabin to do some reading. "Ahhumm".
